I have recently started using jojoba oil (I use Now Solutions, but we carry other brands of jojoba oil too) and it’s such a versatile product! There are many ways to incorporate jojoba oil into your health and beauty routine. This plant wax derives from the jojoba plant, which is located in Arizona, southern California and northwestern Mexico. It’s been known to help with hair and skin problems, contains vitamins and is anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory.

I have used this product a few times now, and I absolutely love it! This supplement is packed with herbs, enzymes, probiotics, greens, probiotics, fruits and vegetables. I use one scoop in my smoothie every morning, and even though I put a variety of fruits and vegetables in my smoothie already, I know I am getting proper nutrition when I use this product.

Last night, Heather, Marianne and I participated in a hot yoga class at Hanaq-Prana Yoga. As we walked into the studio, the lights were dimmed, soft music was playing and I was ready to get my sweat on.

When I first entered the studio, it felt a little warm but I thought it would be a slightly hotter. Then, after about 10 of 15 minutes warming up, I could definitely feel the heat.

I started giving my dog vitamins a few months ago.  I believe that my dog’s health is just as important as my own, and I want him to live a long and happy life, especially since my dog loves to eat anything he can get his paws on (like the trash, my food off the counter, his toys...etc.).

I recently purchased a kettlebell, and I absolutely love it! Although they are a little on the pricey side, they are totally worth the investment. Kettlebells are great for working the entire body, or if you want to target a specific area, there are exercises for the arms and shoulders, legs and glutes, and core.

Before the start of the new year, I decided that I am going to cut chicken out of my diet completely, and become a pescatarian. I normally don’t consume a lot of meat as it is; I eat chicken and fish a few times a week but I mainly consume vegetables, fruits, grains and eggs (and sometimes cheese). Since I am under the weather this week, I need to take it easy on my work outs. I haven’t had a lot of energy to go to the gym, so I have been doing a bunch of yoga at home. Thanks to YouTube, I was easily able to find videos that will not only exercise my body, but alleviate my symptoms as well. It’s that time of year when the weather is constantly changing (at least in Florida) and people are getting sick. Although I take my vitamins, exercise and eat right, my immune system weakens during the winter months. From colds to sore throats, I become tired and cranky and just want to lie in bed all day.

I used to turn to cold medicines at the drop of the hat, but I have found a natural remedy that will boost my immune system and give me the nutrients and energy I need without having to spend ten or so dollars at the nearest drug store (Note- this is just an alternative to cold and flu medicines; it’s not FDA approved but many use this remedy and it has helped them, including myself).

30 Day Water Challenge

Today, the marketing department is starting off the New Year with a water challenge. The three of us will each be consuming one gallon of water every day for 30 days.

Each week, we will be documenting our journey and tracking our progress based on energy levels, skin (acne/hydration/dark circles, etc.), urine and bowel movements, bloating, cravings and possible weight loss.
