Vinyasa Flow

Last night, Marianne and I participated in a Vinyasa Flow at Hanaq-Prana Yoda Studio. As students trickled into class, she gave a warm welcome to each of us. She asked what we wanted to work on today (for me it was my lower back) and incorporated that into our flow. Lorena stated that vinyasa is full of ups and downs, and to ride the wave of whatever we were feeling that day.

It was a relaxing yet strengthening class and it was just what I needed after a long day at the office. The stretches and balancing poses helped me release stress and negative energy that was inside of me.

During savasana, Lorena asked permission if she could incorporate jasmine to enhance the experience. She went around each of us and pressed the oil on our shoulders, making me fall into an even more relaxed state.

 I walked out of class with calmness and a peace of mind.
