My co-worker Marianne was craving Mediterranean food the other day, so we decided to check out this place down the street called Zaytoun.
While scoping out their menu, I noticed they had a variety of vegetarian /vegan options (yay) which was a nice change, since usually I have one or two choices when I dine out.
I went with the lentil soup and falafel (my first time
trying it). The soup had a lot of flavor and was quite filling, so I ended up
saving two of my falafels for later. The falafels came with tahini sauce and these
red and green things that tasted like pickles but looked like peppers. Everything
was savory and full of zest; just writing about it makes me want to get this
for lunch today.
I am eager to try their vegetarian platter and a few of their other dishes. Zaytoun’s pricing is reasonable; My two dishes cost $10.
Forget the typical deli sandwich for lunch. Hit up Zaytoun
Mediterranean & Lebanese Grille!
Zaytoun is located at 10970 Cross Creek Blvd, Tampa, FL 33647
