Testosterone Tips

Posted by Kristen Baureis on 6/21/2016 to Men's Health

Testosterone is the main sex hormone produced by men (women produce testosterone as well, but in much smaller amounts). It increases during puberty, reaching its peak between the ages of 20-30, and starts declining after 30.  Testosterone levels vary throughout the day; the highest being in the morning and the lowest being at night. Men with higher testosterone levels are 45 percent less likely to have high blood pressure and 72 percent less likely to have a heart attack.
