Healthy Road Trip Snacks

I love road trips, but it’s challenging to find healthy foods while traveling. While some gas stations and rest stops carry a few options (like fruit or pita chips) I usually don’t have much to choose from and I often end up hangry if I am not prepared. The restaurants aren’t always the healthiest, either!

Whether you are traveling solo, with a friend or significant other, or with the whole family, here is a list of healthy road trip snacks you can mix and match to fit all of your nutritional needs:

 

Bananas               Carrots                 Grape tomatoes

Berries                 Celery sticks       Cucumber slices

Oranges               Snap Peas

Apples or applesauce packets

Dried fruit

 

Avocado or guacamole                  Yogurt                       Grass-fed/pasture raised jerky

Don’t forget to pack other essentials, such as water, silver gel (for hand sanitizer) paper towels, wipes, and a reusable bag for trash!
