Now Foods was founded by Elwood Richard in 1968. His goal was to provide natural, high quality products at affordable prices. He was able to reach this goal by maintaining relationships with ingredient suppliers, hiring engineers and mechanics to refurbish used manufacturing equipment and establishing in-house laboratories. Since then, Now has grown into one of the most respected manufacturers with customers nationally and abroad.

Today, Now Foods carries over 1,400 products, in categories ranging from sports nutrition, snacks, health and beauty to pet supplements. They perform more than 16,000 analyses and tests each month. These tests are based on identity, potency, purity and composition.

The company continues to exceed both industry and federal standards.  Now has received and ‘A’ rating by the Natural Nutritional Foods Association’s (NNFA) certification, Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP) and has consistently maintained this rating. Aside from this certification, Now prides itself on many other processes and certifications, such as non-GMO and organic certifications, cleanliness hygiene and sanitation, and elaborate testing.

Environment and Sustainability also plays a big role at Now Foods. They’re committed to reducing their carbon footprint through conserving energy, reducing wastes and emissions, and recycling. Annually, Now recycles over 400 tons of material, and conserves 1.3 million gallons of water.
