Not a day goes by that stress does not affect our lives. It comes at us from every angle. The commute home, job demands, family, and even the less personal but far-reaching situations found in the daily news. We react to stress on three different levels: emotionally, physically, and mentally. In a stressful situation you may find your blood pressure raising, breathing quicken, and your heart begin to pound. When the body is not able to utilize the energy created by stress, we may be left feeling emotionally and physically drained. We may become more susceptible to illness, fatigue, and an inability to handle any type of decision making. It is possible to reach a point where we feel we can no longer "handle" it.
