What are Fennel Seeds?

Fennel is related to the parsley family, and is native to Southern Europe. The plant can reach up to 6 feet in height, bearing green leaves and golden flowers. Fennel seeds have a curved shape with vertical stripes. When their seed heads turn a light-brown, they are ready for harvest.

Fennel seeds contain an assortment of nutrients including antioxidants, fiber, and a variety of other vitamins and minerals such as copper, iron, and vitamin-A and B- vitamins. Health benefits of fennel seeds include:
